Oretha Rooker was the wife of Rev Kenneth E. Hagin. She married him on November 25, 1938. She faithfully served her husband’s side for more than sixty years. She traveled a lot with her husband and raised her children brilliantly. All of her children are running successfully in their lives. She and her husband, both were strong believers of Jesus and were equally devoted in their marriage.

They are known for their ‘Word of Faith movement which teaches the access to power of faith through speech. Their teachings are all over the internet, radio, and television. Oretha Rooker was born in 1918 to Elbert Harvey Rooker and Savannah Elizabeth McCormick Rooker. Her husband was Rev Kenneth E. Hagin. She had a brother, Lester Guy Rooker. She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Kenneth W. and Lynette Hagin respectively, and her daughter Pat Harrison. She had five grandchildren Candas and husband Alan Jackson, Cookie and husband Fred Brothers, Damon Harrison, Craig and wife Mia Hagin, and Denise and husband Don Burns. Her great-grandchildren include Daniel Jackson, Amanda Jackson, J.D. Brothers, Whitney Brothers, Cameron Hagin, Blake Hagin, Skylar Hagin, Trevor Burns, and Wesley Burns. This shows she has a huge family that will take her dream of a better world to the horizon.

Her legacy is carried by her son, Kenneth Wayne Hagin who is working on the footprints of his parents. He is a pastor like his father, and her daughter is also working to preach the ‘word of Faith’ movement further. Personal Life

Oretha Rooker was born in rural Collin County, Texas, United States. She married her husband and stayed with him for sixty-four years. She died at the age of 88. Her husband was the founder of the first non-denominational church and pastored for more than 12 years. He served as the pastor of five Assemblies of God congregations in Texas. He served in the towns of Talco, Greggton, Farmville, Tom Beau, and Van. His final congregation before embarking on his travels was in Van, Texas. She was the co-founder of founded Rhema Bible Training College.


Oretha Rooker raised many spiritual spirits and all these people are preaching beautiful messages of Jesus Christ. She was a strong believer in Christ and her preaching was a reflection of the same. Her husband played a major role in her spirituality and religiosity. She imbibed good faith in her children.
