Albert Road There is something to do on South Sea’s main artery. This stretch of independent shops is worth exploring on foot. There is a pub, café, restaurant every 20 meters or so. Tons of bric-a-brac shops to rummage and explore. Albert road is truly a diverse British high street.
Canoe lake was built in 1886, making it feel like your stepping back in time with its swan shaped pedalos, art deco angel statue and tended flower beds. It looks just like a scene a scene from a Victorian postcard. Spend the morning catching crabs in the lake or grab some fish ‘n’ chips from the legendary Deep blue. Located on clarence esplanade overlooking the sea at Southsea is the Blue reef aquarium. With more than 40 innovative displays vividly bring to life the sights, sounds and smells of the sea. Featuring undersea creatures such as from sharks to clownfish to seahorses and otters. In addition to the seas creatures the blue reef aquarium contains rain forests with amphibian’s creatures such as exotic frogs and iguanas. It’s an amazing experience whatever the weather.
