Johnnie Rose Etheridge is the daughter of Tammy Lynn Michaels and American singer and songwriter Melissa Etheridge. She was born on October 17, 2006, and has three siblings: Bailey Jean Cypher, Beckett Cypher, and her fraternal twin, Miller Steven Etheridge.

She moved to Los Angeles, where she landed the role of Nicole Julian on Popular. She then featured in That 80s show, followed by a guest appearance in The L Word drama, and in 2005, she featured in the NBC series Committed.
