Noah Clair Davis’s father started his singing career after settling in Atlanta. Once he got settled, he formed a rock and roll group called Zots, and they made two singles for OEK Records. Additionally, Davis worked for the Vee-Jay Record company and became a regional manager. He became the regional manager for Liberty Records later.
Davis was famous as a songwriter and employed by Nancy Sinatra’s company, Boots Enterprise Inc. For several years, Davis worked with Boots, and he used to play many of Sinatra’s recordings because he worked for her. Sinatra introduced Davis to stage shows.
In 1970, Davis decided to pursue his country music career and signed with Columbia Records after spending several years enriching other artists. Two years after he signed with Columbia, he gained success and topped the Country and Pop charts with his song “Baby Don’t Get Hooked on Me.”
The song was a huge success for Davis. It sold over one million copies and got awarded a gold disc by the Recording Industry Association of America.
